The Hollow Object: Ari Aster's Midsommar and Hegel's Religious Community
In this paper, I will contrast the fictional Harga community in Ari Aster’s film “Midsommar” (2019) with Hegel’s idealized religious community and the process of self-realization which Hegel’s idealized community relies on.
